WKBC College Program

Are you just getting to campus and looking for a church home? A group of college students who are passionate about Jesus? A place to grow in your faith? If so, check out what our church can offer you:

1. College Students:  We actually have a large group of college students who not only attend our church, but actively participate in the life and events of the church as well. Clearly, there’s not only safety in numbers, but excitement and joy as well.

2. Contemporary Music: It’s led by a passionate worship leader with a large worship band that consists of a talented team of vocalists, and various musically gifted people who play instruments such as, but not limited to: an electric guitar, acoustic guitar, bass guitar, synth, piano, drums, and the occasional congas. Really, we have great worship music.

3. Sermons: They’re relevant to daily life and totally Bible-based. Our pastor was a student at URI many years ago, and understands what college life is really like. He typically blends in PowerPoint slides or even a video clip into his sermons. You won’t be bored.

4. “REFRESH” is what we call our college student gathering that meets on Tuesday nights from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm. It’s student-led and takes place in a relaxed and casual café style setting in a large room off of our main sanctuary. It’s a blend of a short devotion, worship music, and focused Bible studies. If you prefer to just hang out, there’s coffee, some deserts, and a game time. Of course, it’s WIFI ready, so you can do some homework or float around on the Internet. You can do everything offered, or nothing at all. Feel free to bring a friend.

5. College Sunday School: Okay, you take a class and don’t get any credits for it.  That’s just the way it is. This is a time when our college students get together in a discussion style format to study the Word of God. It starts on September 13 and is led by our pastor and his wife.  This fall we will be starting with the parables of Jesus. It should be interesting.
